Description
Merford Agglomer
Merford Agglomer is a vibration insulating product made from bonded polyurethane flakes. Merford Agglomer can be used to create a floating floor in homes, boats & yachts and studios. The springy property of the material reduces impact sound. Agglomer is applied by laying directly on the existing floor with a sheet material over it for pressure distribution, this can be gypsum fiber or plywood board.
Properties
- Both sound-absorbing and vibration-insulating
- Elastic and good recovery capacity
- Also available as a strip
Applications
- In homes as underlay.
- In a studio, listening room or drum booth as a floating floor.
- In ships and yachts the floor or deck is placed on strips of Agglomer.
In applications such as parquet, laminate or carpeting we recommend placing a load-bearing board (such as gypsum fiber or plywood) between the floor covering and the Agglomer to prevent sagging of the finishing floor (carpeting).
